The ‘Sister Thrifters’ Origin Story
Oh my goodness! Welcome to the blog 😀
This little gem will be a “behind the curtain” perspective into our journey as an independent, ALL female owned and operated small business.
Let’s take this back to 2019. Our OG shop was about a 10 ft. by 15 ft. … walk-in closet. And given just how small we were, it’s incredible that we did so well! The support was overwhelming, and very unexpected.
Along the way, we had the incredible opportunity to partner with two other female entrepreneurs who saw our vision and heart and offered to help us with this next chapter in our LRD journey.
Fast-forward six months, and we now have our very own brick and mortar shop in downtown Turlock – on Main Street to boot! It is currently under construction (yay for 100-year-old buildings!), but we are all set to open our little red doors in the Fall of 2020.
We are now in a 1300 square feet space where we have 100% control over each and every aspect of our business. Needless to say, we are officially all-in! It is equally surreal as it is terrifying!!
This is a journey that has taken the helping hands of many, and we could not be more excited to share it with you all. Stay tuned for more blog posts coming soon!

We support a local charitable organization called Prem-maa, which is a non-profit, online retail business created by 3 local teenage girls who are passionate in their fight against human trafficking. Little Red Door is honored to donate a percentage of our sales to Prem-maa.
